Plenary 2: How are you doing in the digital age? Awareness, skills and ideas in politics and administration
For Switzerland’s digital future, it is essential that decision-makers in politics and administration have an awareness of the social and technological dimension of the digitalisation as well as the necessary skills and ideas to confront those changes. The aim of this session is to boost the interest of politicians and members of the administration in fundamental questions of our digital age, to show how technology can be used in political processes and to discuss how the digital skills of politicians and civil servants can be further strengthened.

The “Messages from Berne” summarise the main points of the sessions at the Swiss IGF 2020 in a concise and neutral form. They will then be presented to the Global UN Internet Governance Forum (IGF) and the European Dialogue on Internet Governance (EuroDIG) in order to feed into the discussions in these forums.
